The 8th Akada Children’s Book Festival (ACBF) is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2026. This special Children's Day edition is Nigeria's first and largest book festival dedicated exclusively to children's literature.

What to Expect
•Theme: "Big Dreams, Brave Stories".
•Time: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
•Location: Rugby School Nigeria, Avenue 2, Atlantic City, Victoria Island, Lagos.
•Cost: Free entry, but online registration is required to secure a spot. You can register via the official ACBF website.
•For Children: Author-led book readings, storytime sessions, book signings, and meet-and-greets with indigenous authors. There are also STEM activities, sensory play, and competitions like chess and Scrabble tournaments.
•Workshops: Specialized workshops for children (creativity and learning), as well as sessions for parents and teachers.
•Competitions: Announcement of winners for the annual writing and illustration competitions. A theme song competition is also part of the 2026 program.
•Art & Entertainment: Sip 'n Paint sessions, book exhibitions, drama, music, and dance performances.
