Volunteer Information
•Next Scheduled Date: Tuesday, March 24, 2026
•Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Volunteers often arrive as early as 8:30 AM)
•Location: Buffalo Creek Trail (adjacent to the Carroll County Agricultural Education Center)
•Parking: Volunteers should park at the Greenbelt parking area at 515 Old Newnan Rd, Carrollton, GA 30117. From there, walk down the hill; the trail entrance is on the left.
•Greenbelt parking area
•Cost: Free (Volunteer-based)
•What to Bring: Volunteers are advised to bring work gloves and drinking water, and to wear sturdy shoes. Insect repellent is strongly recommended during warmer months.
•Tasks: Typical activities include pulling invasive privet, weeding pollinator gardens, mulching, and digging/dividing native plants.
•Requirements: Everyone is welcome to participate; however, for safety reasons, please do not bring young children.
•Sign-in: Volunteers must record their start and stop times on the sign-in sheet located on the back of the kiosk near the Buffalo Creek Outdoor Education Center sign.
