Gimcheon Sangmu FC vs Jeonbuk Motors
Gimcheon Sangmu FC and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors recently played to a 1-1 draw on March 8, 2026, in Round 2 of the K League 1. Although the team was formerly known as Sangju Sangmu and based in Sangju, they relocated and now play their home matches at the Gimcheon Sports Complex in Gimcheon.
The two teams are scheduled to meet at least twice more during the 2026 regular season:
While many fans still associate the military team with Sangju (where they played as Sangju Sangmu from 2011 to 2020), the club officially moved to Gimcheon in 2021. They have since extended their stay in Gimcheon through at least the end of December 2026.
