Have Another Look Captain Cook! is an annual celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture hosted at the Queensland Museum Cobb+Co in Toowoomba City.
The event focuses on the 65,000 years of history and culture that existed before Captain Cook's arrival in 1770. Now in its 12th year (as of 2026), it includes a variety of interactive cultural activities:

Location & Tickets
•Dates: Monday 3 August – Friday 7 August 2026.
•Daily Time: 9:30 am – 2:00 pm.
•Public Access: While primarily a school program, general museum visitors are welcome to join the celebration.
•Daily Welcome: Morning Welcome and Smoking Ceremonies.
•Cultural Activities: Traditional boomerang and spear throwing, First Nations weaving, art, and symbolism.
•Learning Experiences: Stories and demonstrations regarding "Murri" tucker (bush foods), medicines, tools, and weapons.
•Performances: Midday talks, songs, and dance performances by First Nations performers.
•Exhibits: Access to the Binangar Gallery to discover ancient artefacts.
•Venue: Cobb+Co Museum, 27 Lindsay St, Toowoomba City QLD 4350.
•Cost: The program is free for general visitors with standard museum entry. For schools, there is a fee of $4 per student.
•School Bookings: Educational groups can reserve their spot via the Cobb+Co school booking form.
