Best Trick-or-Treating Neighborhoods 
PruBoo at Prudential Center: Sunday, October 26, 2025 (11 a.m. – 1 p.m.). This 31st annual event features trick-or-treating at over 30 stores, face painting, magic shows, and live music. A $5 donation for a trick-or-treat bag benefits Boston Children's Hospital.
Fall-o-Ween Children's Festival: Friday, October 17, 2025 (5 p.m. – 8 p.m.). A free community event at the Boston Common Frog Pond featuring music, Halloween-themed activities, and treats.
Halloween Spooktacular at Boston Children's Museum: Saturday, November 1, 2025 (5 p.m. – 8 p.m.). Includes trick-or-treating throughout the museum, a costume contest, "Zombie Bowling," and character meet-and-greets. Advanced tickets ($30) are required.
Zoo Howl at Franklin Park Zoo: October 25–26, 2025. Children can trick-or-treat among the animals and enjoy mystery animal encounters and costume contests.

"Slashed in the 90s" Party at The Liberty Hotel: Saturday, October 25, 2025. This major celebration in the historic former Charles Street Jail features 90s horror-inspired decor, live DJs, and over 600 guests. Costumes are strongly encouraged.
Crawl-O-Ween Official Bar Crawl: October 31, 2025 (Starts 5 p.m.). Spanning Fenway and Faneuil Hall, this massive crawl includes over 10 venues, live DJs, and a $2,000 costume contest prize.
Night in the Stacks at Boston Public Library: Friday, October 31, 2025 (8 p.m. – 12 a.m.). An upscale fundraiser at the Copley Square library featuring live music, an open bar, and access to new exhibitions. Note: Tickets typically sell out early.

Joker Halloween Party Cruise: Friday, October 31, 2025 (8 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.). A costume party on a yacht cruising Boston Harbor.
Wicked Haunt Fest: September 29 – November 3, 2025. Located at Hood Park in Charlestown, this immersive Halloween village features three distinct haunted attractions and themed bars.
Ghosts & Gravestones Trolley Tour: Daily in October. A 90-minute "frightseeing" tour led by costumed "Ghost Hosts" that visits the city's most haunted sites, including burial grounds and the Omni Parker House.
Ghost Tour of the Charles River: October 23, 24, 25, 30, and 31 (5:30 p.m.). A unique river-based perspective on Boston's spooky history.
Beacon Hill: Pinckney and Mount Vernon Streets are closed to traffic in the late afternoon for a classic brownstone trick-or-treating experience.
South End: Rutland Street is blocked off for a safe, family-friendly environment often including pizza parties and music.
Back Bay: Marlborough Street (especially at the corner of Dartmouth) is known for elaborate tombstone displays and high energy.
