ITA Competency & Business Purposes
The International Firearm Training Academy (ITA) hosts "Competency & Business Purposes" firearm training events throughout the year at its Krugersdorp training centre. These courses are designed for individuals who require firearm proficiency for professional use, such as security personnel, field guides, or cash-in-transit teams.
Courses typically run for two days, from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM.
The training covers specific Unit Standards required by the South African Professional Firearms Training Council (PFTC) for business use:
Prerequisites: You must typically complete the "Knowledge of the Firearms Control Act" (U/S 117705) and the applicable "Private Use" unit standard for the specific firearm type before enrolling in the Business Purposes level.
