The Just for Kids with the Percussion Ensemble series, presented by the Tucson Symphony Orchestra (TSO), features interactive concerts where musicians often use "found" instruments like buckets, cheese graters, and pepper mills to educate and entertain young children.
The primary event for this ensemble is the Strike, Shake, and Scrape performance, featuring a brand-new children's book authored by ensemble leader Trevor Barroero.
The TSO Percussion Quartet also performs at local libraries as part of the "TSO On the Go!" community outreach program:
