📝 Useful Information
"Laughing doesn’t need your help" is a contemporary dance project and ensemble performance staged in the Bosque area and around the Rio Grande River in Albuquerque, NM.
The performance is an improvised, looping movement cycle that explores themes of cosmic connection and communion amidst modern anxieties. It is inspired by literary works such as Toni Morrison’s Beloved and Kaveh Akbar’s Martyr!.
The performance features local queer, melanated, and allied creatives, moving through "muddy communion" in the natural riverside setting.
