The 23rd South African National Quilt Festival, themed "Sew Awareness 2026", will be held in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) from Tuesday, 7 July to Saturday, 11 July 2026. Hosted by the Dias Quilters' Guild, the event focuses on promoting environmental awareness through textile art.
The festival takes place at Collegiate Girls' High School, located on Kestell Street, Parsons Hill, Gqeberha.
On the final day of the festival, 11 July 2026, various workshops (Classes 501–516) are scheduled, typically from 09:00 to 12:00.
The final day features specialized classes from instructors including Lesley Taylor, Macky Cilliers, and Elaine Barnard, with themes ranging from "Sir Turtle of the Sea" to "Quilt Math".
Note: Class prices exclude the compulsory R340.00 Delegate Registration fee.
