Important Deadlines
•Location: Durban Undersea Club (DUC), Point Water Sports Club, Durban.
•Purpose: A "charity-for-charity" event supporting 14 local NGOs in KwaZulu-Natal.
•Structure: A multi-stage open-water challenge with four primary distance categories.
•Age Limits: No swimmers under 12 for the 8-mile and 16-mile events. Swimmers under 12 in shorter events must use a tow float.
•Wetsuits: Permitted, but a 2-minute time penalty per mile applies for competitive timing.
•Conservation: Project Rhino, Duzi-Umngeni Conservation Trust (DUCT), CROW.
•Community & Education: Singakwenza Early Childhood Education, Makabongwe Pre-School, Rise Against Hunger.
•Support Services: NSRI (National Sea Rescue Institute), Umduduzi – Hospice Care for Children, Nazareth House.
•Entry Closing (8 & 16 Mile): Wednesday, 15 April 2026 at midnight.
