As part of the 2026 Arts Thornton Music Series, the Playground Ensemble will host an interactive event called "Color, Shape, Sound – A Live Graphic Scores Workshop" on Friday, April 17, 2026.

This event is part of Thornton's first-ever ticketed monthly performance series, which runs from March through September.

•Description: This family-friendly workshop allows participants to work with teaching artists to "draw" their own musical compositions using colors and shapes. Musicians from the Playground Ensemble will then perform these graphic scores on the spot, concluding with a large group kazoo choir piece.
