Pure Imagination: The Magical Candy Shoppe
Pure Imagination: The Magical Candy Shoppe is an original performing arts production in Rochester, NY, presented by the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) from April 17–19, 2026.
The show is a collaboration between RIT’s School of Performing Arts, the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) Performing Arts Department, and Dance at RIT. It is directed and choreographed by Thomas Warfield and features original music by Assistant Professor Yi-Ning Lo.
The production follows a quest to restore fading magic in an Art Nouveau town, told through a mix of dance styles (ballet, tap, jazz, modern, afro-hip hop, and aerial), integrated technology, and American Sign Language (ASL).
Shows are held at the Robert F. Panara Theatre on the RIT campus from April 17-19, 2026, with evening performances on Friday and Saturday, and matinees on Saturday and Sunday.
