ReCON$truXion is a world premiere stage production by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan, commissioned by the Alabama Shakespeare Festival (ASF). The play tells the true story of John R. Lynch, who was born into slavery and rose to become Mississippi's first Black Speaker of the House and a United States Congressman during the Reconstruction era.
