The Recruit's Honor Race (Забіг Честі імені Рекрута) is scheduled to take place in Kyiv on Sunday, June 28, 2026. This charity event is dedicated to the memory of Major Oleksiy Chubashev (call sign "Recruit"), a military journalist and soldier who died in 2022 during the battle for Sievierodonetsk.
The event begins with a national minute of silence at 09:00 to honor fallen defenders.

Registration & Participation
•Location: Expocenter of Ukraine (VDNG), Pavilion No. 7, 1 Akademika Hlushkova Avenue, Kyiv.
•Charity Goal: 100% of registration fees are donated to the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU).
•Formats: Available as both an offline event in Kyiv and an online race for those participating remotely.
•Registration: Already open online via the Run Ukraine website.
•Start Packs: For offline participants, start packs must be collected on Saturday, June 27, 2026. There is no distribution of packs on the day of the race.
•Online Option: Remote participants can run their chosen distance between June 26 and June 29, 2026, and submit their results via the Strava app or email to receive a finisher's medal.
