•Race Options: Participants can choose between a 5K run and a 1-mile Fun Run/Walk.
•Location: The event takes place on the Las Cruces Dam Open Space Trail. The start/finish line is located behind the Lohman Dam, near the intersection of Lohman Ave and the trail.
•Day-of Check-in: Begins at 6:45 AM.
•Race Start: Both races are scheduled to begin at 8:15 AM MDT.
•Registration: Early bird registration is available through April 1, with price increases leading up to the race day. You can register online via Race Roster.
•What's Included: All finishers receive a commemorative medal. To guarantee a T-shirt in your size, you must register by March 1, 2026.
•Terrain: The course is primarily flat with some slight incline hills, running through the wetland area behind the dam.
•Parking: Limited parking is available in the dirt area near the trail; participants can also park at nearby stores like Marshalls, Ross, or Albertsons and walk over.
•Bib Pick-up: Early bib pick-up is held the day before (Friday, April 24) from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Centennial High School bus lanes.
•AG Day at NMSU: A large tailgate celebration highlighting New Mexico agriculture, typically held in November ahead of a NMSU Aggies football game.
•Cowboy Days: Hosted by the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum, this event is taking a hiatus in 2026 for a community visioning initiative.
