📝 Useful Information

The 27th Jive Cape Town Funny Festival is South Africa's largest and oldest comedy project. Established in 1997, it serves as a "winter comedic tonic" for the Mother City, combining top South African stand-up talent with international variety acts.

The 2026 edition introduces a live band for the first time, led by Sean de Vries, spotlighting the music of the Cape.

The festival offers significant group and early-week discounts:

This developmental talent search precedes the main festival to find South Africa's next comedy star.
