Kickoff Ceremonies: Features a spirited parade, official proclamations, and opening ceremonies.
Militia Drills: Performance by the EFL Rangers on the lawn.
"Feuding Families in Florida, 1776": Premiere of a theatrical drama that blends historical fact with a revolutionary take on Romeo & Juliet.
Saturday, May 30 (Starts at 10:00 AM):
Living History Village: Hands-on activities including pony rides, a petting zoo, stickball, and flag-making.
Historical Demonstrations: Expert talks, music demonstrations, historic foodways, and afternoon tea.
Revolutionary Ball: The evening concludes with a grand ball featuring period music and drama.
Sunday, May 31 (12:00 PM – 6:00 PM):
Scholarly Panels: Discussions exploring the roles of Native Americans, Blacks, Women, Hispanics, and the French in the Revolution.
Final Performances: Includes a closing presentation of "Feuding Families" and an Evensong service presided over by John Forbes.
Interactive Game Show: The play Feuding Families in Florida, 1776 invites audience members to collaborate and win prizes by answering questions about Florida history and conflict resolution.
