X Fest DXB 2026 is a 10-week community theatre festival in Dubai dedicated to original 10-minute plays. The festival provides a platform for writers, directors, and actors across the UAE to showcase fresh, short-form performances.
The festival is preceded by community workshops and auditions. For 2026, auditions were scheduled for early February, and winning scripts from the STAGE WRITE 2026 workshop at Big Bad Wolf Books are also slated for professional staging during the event.

Participation & Training
•Dates: April 4 – May 10, 2026 (Performances held every weekend).
•Location: The Junction, Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz, Dubai.
•Ticket Price: Approximately AED 120.
•Performance Time: Doors typically open at 7:15 PM, with shows starting at 7:30 PM.
•Weekly Lineup: Each evening features a diverse set of 10–11 original short plays.
•Untranslated Week (April 18–19): A special week where every play is performed in a language other than English to celebrate UAE's cultural diversity.
•Youth Week (April 19, 26 & May 3): Showcases performances created and performed by theatre-makers under 18.
•Finals Weekend (May 8–10): The festival concludes with the strongest plays returning to compete for top honors.
