Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols
• Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, cutting, grinding, and fitting materials
• Perform MIG welding and Arc welding on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures, frames, pipes, and equipment
• Repair damaged metal parts and machinery components
• Inspect welds to ensure strength, quality, and compliance with specifications
• Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting torches, and other fabrication tools
• Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper working condition
• Work with supervisors and team members to complete projects on time

Required Skills
• Strong knowledge of MIG and Arc welding techniques
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and measurements accurately
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Knowledge of welding safety standards and procedures
• Experience using welding tools, grinders, and measuring instruments
• Physical strength and stamina for workshop/site work

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Technical certification in welding or fabrication (preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in MIG and Arc welding (depending on employer)
