Job Description
A restaurant cleaner maintains the hygiene and sanitation of the entire dining establishment, including dining areas, kitchens, and restrooms. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and removing trash to ensure compliance with health regulations, often working early morning or late-night shifts to ensure a clean, safe environment for customers and staff. • Floors & Surfaces: Sweep, mop, mop, and vacuum floors in both dining and kitchen areas.
• Restrooms & Kitchen: Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, mirrors, and kitchen surfaces, including deep cleaning floors and surfaces.
• Waste Management: Empty all trash receptacles and dispose of waste in designated areas.
• Sanitation & Setup: Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms and replenish dining area items like condiments or napkins.
• Operational Cleaning: Clean kitchen surfaces, hoods, and sometimes wash dishes (pots, pans, utensils).
• Maintenance Reporting: Report any broken items, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to management.
• Safety Adherence: Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies, ensuring proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
