In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance, calibration, and repairs of equipment and instruments. You will play a key part in ensuring all equipment operates reliably and efficiently in accordance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This position is critical in supporting compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO standards within a medical device manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesEquipment Maintenance:Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing, laboratory, and facility equipment in GMP and non-GMP areas.Troubleshoot process and plant equipment issues and implement timely repairs / corrective actions.Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance logs and records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).Help prepare and maintain spare parts inventory and keep records updated.Assist with investigations during equipment breakdowns to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.Calibration ActivitiesCalibrate instruments and equipment as per calibration schedules and procedures, where applicable.Ensure calibration standards and tools are maintained and calibrated as required, where applicable.Document calibration results and issue internal calibration certificates where applicable.Remove, prepare and dispatch instruments and equipment for calibration.Ensure that all equipment requiring calibration is labelled with the appropriate validity dates and other critical information.Compliance And DocumentationEnsure all maintenance and calibration tasks follow GMP, ISO 13485, and other applicable standards.Assist with preparing, updating, and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to maintenance and calibration.Participate in audits and inspections, provide technical support and documentation as required.Equipment ImprovementParticipate in the implementation of new equipment, including installation, qualification, and validation.Collaborate with the Engineering team to help improve equipment performance and support process improvement initiatives.About YouCertificate III or higher in a Mechanical, Electrical, or Refrigeration Trade (or equivalent)Minimum 2 years’ experience in maintenance, calibration, or technical support roles.
