Job Description
Description: duties and responsibilities:
• Operations & Shift Management*
- *Run daily shifts*: Open/close store, assign positions, set break schedules, and ensure service speed meets brand standards
- *Maintain quality & safety*: Enforce food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards. Check temps, expiration dates, and cleanliness
- *Handle rush periods*: Jump in on line, drive-thru, or register during peak times to keep wait times down
- *Inventory & ordering*: Track stock levels, place food/supply orders, receive deliveries, and minimize waste/shrinkage
• Staff & Team Leadership*
- *Hiring & training*: Interview crew members, onboard new hires, and train on recipes, POS, and service standards
- *Scheduling*: Build weekly schedules balancing labor costs with coverage needs. Approve time-off and handle call-outs
- *Performance management*: Coach staff, give feedback, write reviews, and handle disciplinary issues or terminations
- *Motivate the team*: Set targets for service time, upsells, and cleanliness. Keep morale up during high-stress shifts
• Customer & Sales*
- *Resolve complaints*: De-escalate issues, comp meals when needed, and turn unhappy guests into return customers
- *Drive sales*: Push LTOs, combos, and upsells. Execute local store marketing and promotions from corporate
- *Ensure brand standards*: Food presentation, portioning, uniform compliance, and overall guest experience match brand guidelines
• Financial & Admin*
- *Control costs*: Manage labor %, food cost, and cash variances. Investigate till shortages/overages
- *Cash handling*: Safe counts, bank deposits, and end-of-day reporting
- *Reporting*: Track daily sales, labor, waste logs, and submit reports to area manager/franchisee
- *Compliance*: Follow labor laws, break requirements, and health department regulations. Prep for audits/inspections
• Key skills needed*: Multitasking under pressure, basic math, leadership, conflict resolution, and strong communication.
