Starting out with security gigs in Brazil
Look I've known a few guys who jumped into security guard jobs here and they say the scene is pretty steady if you don't mind the hours. Sao Paulo has the most openings from what I've seen but Rio isn't far behind with all the events and big buildings needing coverage.
Pay starts around 1500 to 2000 reais a month for entry level stuff. Not amazing money but it beats nothing and some places throw in overtime that helps a lot. And you usually get some benefits like transport allowance which adds up.
What they actually want from you
Most places ask for a clean record and basic training course. The course takes a couple weeks and costs a bit but you finish it you're basically good to apply. Here's the thing though experience from the military or police helps big time they move you up faster.
Physical fitness matters too. They want you alert not falling asleep on night shifts. Real talk some contracts are just sitting in lobbies while others involve walking lots or even driving patrols in certain neighborhoods.
Where the jobs pop up most
Shopping malls and office towers in the big cities always need people. Factories out in the industrial zones hire too especially if you speak a bit of English for international companies. But smaller towns have less competition if you're willing to move.
I'd say check sites like Indeed or local Facebook groups first. They post daily. And don't sleep on company websites they sometimes skip the job boards entirely.

Shifts can be rough. Nights and weekends are common so think about that before signing anything. Some folks rotate and others stick to days if they have family stuff going on.
Is it worth it long term
Honestly speaking it can lead to supervisor roles after a year or two. Pay bumps up then and you deal less with the boring stuff. Not everyone's path but it happens.
Big difference between corporate sites and event security too. One is steady the other is more cash per day but spotty work. Pick what fits your life I guess.
