Our client, a leading provider of specialized cleaning services for commercial and industrial facilities, is seeking a meticulous and reliable Specialized Cleaning Technician to join their team in **Ottawa, Ontario, CA**. This role involves performing high-level cleaning and sanitization tasks in various environments, often requiring adherence to strict protocols and the use of advanced cleaning equipment and solutions. Key Responsibilities: Perform specialized cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning, disinfection, and sanitization in diverse settings including healthcare facilities, laboratories, and high-traffic commercial areas. Operate and maintain specialized cleaning equipment, including industrial vacuums, floor scrubbers, steam cleaners, and high-pressure washers. Safely handle and apply a variety of cleaning chemicals and disinfectants according to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines. Follow strict cleaning protocols and checklists to ensure comprehensive and consistent service delivery. Conduct thorough inspections of cleaned areas to ensure all standards have been met and identify any areas requiring additional attention. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or maintenance needs. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Work efficiently and effectively, often independently, to meet scheduled service times. Report any site-specific issues or client concerns to the supervisor promptly. Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on the latest cleaning technologies and best practices. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or a related field is required. Experience with specialized cleaning (e.g., medical, industrial) is a strong asset. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and safety procedures. Proficiency in operating various cleaning equipment. Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions, protocols, and safety guidelines. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work. Good physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, lifting, and carrying for extended periods. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Valid background check may be required.
