VG Meats is seeking a Route Driver in Toronto, ON!

As a Route Driver, you'll handle daily deliveries from our pickup depot to our clients, with opportunities to collect and deliver items across various facilities. With routes covering Toronto and the GTA, you'll be able to return home each night. Embrace a rewarding CAREER with VG Meats!

As a Route Driver at VG Meats, your duties will include making daily deliveries and coordinating with the Shipping/Receiving department, Administrative staff, and the Logistics Supervisor to ensure the accurate handling of paperwork, customer orders, and shipment details.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Use of your cellular device to navigate routes using Route4Me
• Experience in handling time and temperature-sensitive products
• Maintaining cleanliness of the delivery vehicle
• At least 3 years of driving experience relevant to the role
• Ability to drive in urban areas and load/unload vans with product weighing up to 25 kg
• Positive attitude paired with good verbal and written communication skills in English
• A clean Driver’s Abstract
• Criminal background check
• Reference letters from current and previous employers evidencing a total of 3 years of driving experience. (References can be from multiple positions amounting to the required experience, where experience exists).

Schedule:

The position will initially be a part-time positions 3-5 hours per day between Tuesday and Friday. Hours will vary but will generally fall in-between 7:00 a.m. and 11 a.m. As our operation grows this may develop into a full-time position.
