As per the Ministry of Manpower, the minimum wage for security guards in Egypt is 8000 Egyptian Pounds per month as of January 2026. Overtime rates are set at 1.5 times the hourly rate for hours exceeding 48 per week. This applies to all private sector contracts registered under Labor Law No. 12 of 2003.

Prior experience of 6 months in security or military service is mandatory for licensed positions. All candidates require a valid fitness certificate issued after medical examination.
