As per the Ministry of Labour & Employment, the minimum wage for heavy vehicle drivers in Delhi is ₹23,500 per month for an 8-hour shift effective from 1 January 2026, with overtime paid at double the rate beyond 8 hours. This includes the Variable Dearness Allowance component revised every six months.

Applicants must hold a valid Commercial Driving Licence with at least 3 years of experience on LMV or HMV categories as mandated by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. A valid badge for public service vehicles is compulsory for passenger transport roles.

Candidates must submit Aadhaar, PAN, valid Commercial Driving Licence, medical fitness certificate from a government hospital, and 10th pass marksheet through the National Career Service portal by 31 March 2026. No application fee applies for SC/ST categories.

Drivers are entitled to a maximum 8-hour workday and 48 hours per week with one paid weekly off, plus 15 days of earned leave after 240 days of work in a year as per the 2026 central notification. Night shifts receive an additional ₹150 allowance per shift.
