From what I've seen it's pretty doable if you know the scene. Lots of places need cleaners, from homes to big offices and hotels. Pay ain't the highest but it adds up with overtime sometimes.
Thing is you gotta be ready for the heat and long hours. I talked to a few folks who've done it and they say the first month is the toughest.
Where the gigs usually pop up
Hotels are always hiring. So are apartment buildings and cleaning companies that send teams out daily. You can check local Facebook groups too. Some agencies post there every week.
Real talk though, walking into places with your CV works better than you think. Especially smaller shops and villas. They like meeting you in person.

Pay starts around 120 to 180 Kuwaiti dinar a month for basic roles. Live-in jobs sometimes throw in food and a room. That saves money fast.
Getting the paperwork sorted
You need a valid visa to work. Most employers handle the sponsor stuff but make sure they do it right. Without that you're stuck.
Honestly speaking some places rush it and you end up waiting weeks. Ask around before signing anything.
And health checks? Yeah they want those done quick. Blood tests and all that. Nothing new if you've done this kind of work before.
Daily life on the job
Mornings start early. Like 6 or 7. Then it's cleaning non stop till lunch. Afternoons might slow down but not always.
Not great if you hate standing. Your back will feel it the first weeks for sure.
But the people you meet can be cool. Some families treat you like part of the crew. Others keep it strict. Depends where you land.
One guy I knew switched three times before finding a good spot. Worth it in the end he said.
Agencies versus going solo
Agencies get you in faster sometimes. They have the connections. Downside is they take a cut of your pay for a while.
Doing it alone means more legwork but you keep everything. Lots of people do both at different times.
Look for reviews before picking one. Bad ones disappear with your documents. Not worth the risk.
Here's the thing though – word of mouth still beats everything. Ask anyone already working here.
Stuff that trips people up
Language. Arabic helps a ton but English gets you by in many spots. Mix of both is ideal.
Also the weather. Summer hits hard. Drinking water constantly is non negotiable.
Contracts can be tricky too. Read every line about days off and end of service pay. That's your money.
Some leave after a year. Others stay five plus because the money flows steady once you're settled.
Big difference between live in and live out. One gives more freedom. The other saves cash.
