Tourism Company Hiring Candidates for Tourism Promoter

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment sets the adult minimum wage at NZ$24.50 per hour from 1 April 2026 for all driver roles including truck and delivery positions. Time-and-a-half applies after 40 hours per week and double time on public holidays.

Immigration New Zealand requires a Specific Purpose Work Visa or Accredited Employer Work Visa for driver positions, valid for up to three years with a job offer meeting the median wage threshold of NZ$29.66 per hour. Applicants must hold a valid New Zealand driver licence or recognised overseas equivalent.

Drivers must hold a Class 4 or Class 5 licence issued by NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi plus at least two years of relevant experience for truck or bus positions. A valid medical certificate renewed every five years is also mandatory.

Applications need a current CV, NZ driver licence, full work history, and proof of right to work such as a passport or visa. For heavy vehicles an additional logbook showing 100,000 km driving experience must be submitted to the employer.
