Job description

We are seeking a Welder who will be responsible for performing high-quality weld repair works on
crusher rotors and heavy rotating equipment using approved welding procedures.
Candidate must be skilled in GMAW and SMAW processes, multi-pass welding, all
welding positions, and heat control requirements to ensure structural integrity
and equipment reliability.

Responsibilities:
• Perform weld repair of crusher rotors and heavy rotating equipment components.
• Execute groove and fillet welds in all positions as per approved WPS.
• Carry out multi-pass welding using GMAW root and SMAW fill/cap methods.
• Maintain required preheat and interpass temperatures during welding.
• Inspect weld quality and coordinate with QA/QC for testing requirements.
• Ensure proper grinding, preparation, fit-up, and final finishing.
• Follow all workshop/site safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Maintain welding tools, machines, and consumables in safe working condition.

Requirements
• Valid ASME Section IX Welding Qualification Test (WQT) mandatory.
• Qualified in GMAW + SMAW welding processes.
• Proven experience with:
• ER80S-Ni2 (1.6 mm) – GMAW
• E8018-C1 (3.2 mm) – SMAW
• Qualified for all positions (groove & fillet welding).
• Experience in multi-pass welding (GMAW root + SMAW fill/cap).
• Familiar with Preheat 120°C – 150°C and interpass temperature control.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment / rotating equipment repair.
• Ability to read WPS, follow welding procedures, and maintain quality standards.
