PRODUCTION DRIVER

As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the minimum wage for driver jobs in Saudi Arabia is 4500 SAR per month as of January 2026 for Saudi nationals working under the Nitaqat system. Expatriate drivers receive a guaranteed basic salary of 3000 SAR plus 500 SAR housing allowance and overtime at 1.5 times the hourly rate after 8 hours daily.

As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, foreign drivers must obtain a work permit through the Qiwa platform and a valid Iqama visa sponsored by the employer before entry as of 2026. The process requires a valid international driving license converted to a Saudi one within 90 days and medical fitness certificate from approved centers.

As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, applicants for driver jobs need a minimum of 2 years professional driving experience and a valid Saudi driving license category appropriate to the vehicle as of 2026. Heavy vehicle drivers require additional certification from the General Department of Traffic with no more than 3 traffic violations in the prior 12 months.

As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, applicants must submit a passport, attested educational certificates if required, driving license, and medical report via the Qiwa or Absher platform as of 2026. Employment contracts must be registered electronically within 7 days of hiring with a copy provided to the worker.
