Job Description
Objective:

This position is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods using heavy vehicles between warehouses, retail outlets, and customer locations. The role ensures compliance with transport regulations, vehicle safety standards, and company delivery procedures to support efficient logistics operations.

Key responsibility:
• Operate heavy vehicles to transport goods as per assigned delivery schedules and routes.
• Ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and perform routine inspections before and after trips.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company transport policies.
• Coordinate with the transport supervisor and warehouse teams for accurate loading and unloading of goods.
• Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, fuel consumption records, and trip reports.
• Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or delays to the transport supervisor immediately.
• Assist in basic vehicle upkeep such as checking tire pressure, oil levels, and cleanliness.
• Support last-mile delivery coordination when required.
• Comply with all regulatory requirements related to heavy vehicle operation, including licensing and rest periods.

• 3–5 years of proven experience driving heavy vehicles in a logistics, warehouse, or distribution setting.
• Valid heavy vehicle driving license (Category 4 or equivalent).
