Look Singapore has a bunch of options if you don't mind sitting behind the wheel all day. Taxi driving still pops up a lot but Grab and Gojek have taken over for most folks. Then there's delivery stuff with food and parcels plus bus or truck routes if you want something steadier.
From what I've seen the private hire side pulls in way more people these days. You just need that PDVL and a clean record basically.
Pay feels all over the place honestly
Grab drivers tell me they clear around three to five thousand after fuel and platform cuts. It depends how many hours you put in and whether you work nights. Taxis can hit similar but the rental fees eat into it quick.
Bus drivers get fixed salaries closer to three k with overtime on top. Truck work pays better if you're doing long hauls but the hours suck.
Big difference though between peak hours and quiet days.
Getting started the real way
First thing is your license. Class 3 at minimum for most gigs and then the vocational one if you're doing private hire. Medical check and some online courses follow right after.
Age minimum sits at twenty one usually. No major accidents on record helps a ton too.

Daily life on the road
Traffic here stays mental during rush hour. You learn the shortcuts fast or you lose money sitting in jams. Rainy days bring more rides but parking gets impossible.
Customers range from chill to completely rude. I heard one guy say he just keeps earphones in for the bad ones.
Not gonna lie the flexibility draws a lot of part timers in. You pick your shifts and bail when you want.
Common gripes people share
Fuel prices keep climbing. Tolls add up too if you cross the causeway much. Platform fees change without warning sometimes.
Maintenance on the car becomes your headache if it's your own. Rentals mean someone else handles it but you pay more per day.
Exactly why some switch to company buses after a year or two.
Still the cash comes in daily which beats waiting for month end salary.
