As per the Ministry of Manpower, the minimum monthly basic wage for entry-level Security Officers in 2026 is SGD 2,010 under the Progressive Wage Model for the security sector. This increases to SGD 2,370 for Senior Security Officers and SGD 2,650 for Security Supervisors with required training and tenure completed by 1 January 2026. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate after 44 hours per week.

As per the Ministry of Manpower, foreigners must hold a valid Work Permit for the security sector to work as security officers in 2026. Employers must apply through the Work Permit Online system and the foreign worker must pass the Security Officer's Course before deployment. The levy rate is SGD 300 per month for basic security officers as of January 2026.
