Job Description — General Worker (Laundry Operations)

Position: General Worker Department: Laundry / Housekeeping Contract Duration: 4 Weeks (Temporary) Employment Type: Contract Working Hours: Full Time (8 hours/day, 6 days/week)

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Worker to support our laundry operations for a 2-week contract period. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of laundry work in a fast-paced environment. No prior experience is required — full training will be provided on the first day.

Key Responsibilities
• Collect, sort, and categorise laundry items by type, colour, and fabric
• Operate washing machines and dryers according to care label instructions
• Fold, press/iron, and neatly pack cleaned laundry items
• Identify and pre-treat stains prior to washing
• Ensure clean and soiled items are stored separately at all times
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the laundry area throughout each shift
• Replenish laundry supplies (detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets) and report low stock
• Handle delicate or special-care garments with appropriate care
• Complete daily logs or records of laundry processed if required
• Report any damaged equipment or items to the supervisor promptly

Requirements
• Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Basic literacy to read care labels and instructions
• No formal qualifications required — training is provided
