As per the Çalışma ve Sosyal Güvenlik Bakanlığı, the net minimum wage for security guards in Turkey is 26,005 TL per month as of 1 January 2026. This applies to all 45-hour weekly contracts with an additional 1.5x rate for overtime beyond 45 hours. Employers must also pay 2,340 TL monthly social security contribution on top.

As per the İçişleri Bakanlığı, every security guard must hold a valid Özel Güvenlik Kimlik Kartı issued after completing 120-hour training and passing the national exam. The card costs 1,850 TL and is valid for 5 years with renewal required by 31 December 2026 for existing holders. Applications are submitted only through provincial police departments.

As per the İçişleri Bakanlığı regulation published 15 October 2025, applicants need at least primary school graduation plus completion of the 120-hour certified training course. No prior experience is mandatory but candidates over 21 years old with clean criminal record receive priority in 2026 hiring quotas.

As per the Çalışma ve Sosyal Güvenlik Bakanlığı, applicants must submit a valid Özel Güvenlik Kimlik Kartı, e-Devlet criminal record certificate dated within 30 days, health report from a public hospital, and SGK service statement. All documents must be uploaded to the employer’s e-Declaration system before the contract start date.
