Our Rental Yard is looking for EXPERIENCED TRUCK BODY BUILDER REPAIR MECHANIC/WELDER/FABRICATOR. Successful candidates will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing hydraulic pumps, valves, motors, cylinders, and power take-offs medium duty diesel trucks and trailers. We're looking for highly skilled, well-trained, organized professionals with their own complete roll-away tool cabinet and portable tool cart, and people that take pride in their work and can perform various duties as required. Prior small private shop experience dealing with FORD, INTERNATIONAL, FREIGHTLINER, GENERAL MOTORS, PETERBILT, and KW is a PLUS and HELPFUL.

Responsibilities:
• Diagnose trucks for immediate repairs, such as smoking engines, burned out clutches. Circuit test truck electrical, hydraulic and air systems based on observational and mechanical bench testing as well as information provided from Truck Service Manuals
• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services on trucks and trailer equipment including batteries, lube oil and filter changes, and be able to inspect brakes, and identify engine and transmission leaks
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, electrical, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition. Be able to identify and determine parts required for repair on disassembled components on a truck chassis, and communicate clearly to the Parts Dept for ordering required parts
• Maintain neat and tidy work area appearance and always observe safety procedures
• Be able to work independently or in a group setting to accomplish repairs requested
• Be able to multi-task and switch jobs when requested or assigned by supervisor
• Must be able to arrive on time each day, allowing for freeway traffic and weather conditions, and provide own transportation

Skills:
• Must be able to R & R and re-assemble hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders with minimum supervision
• Practical experience as a full-service EXPERIENCED TRUCK BODY BUILDER REPAIR MECHANIC/WELDER/FABRICATOR.
• Know how to operate and trouble-shoot various hydraulic truck components -WILL TRAIN TO SUIT
• Be a self-starter and continued excellent attendance record a must
• Commitment to customer service and attention to detail
• Successful candidate will be properly trained by highly skilled personnel to efficiently handle troubleshooting assignments

Requirements:
• 5+ years’ experience as an EXPERIENCED TRUCK BODY BUILDER REPAIR MECHANIC/WELDER/FABRICATOR or similar
• Should have own roll-away tool cabinet and portable tool cart to conduct all types of truck general repairs
• Must have own transportation and current driver’s license
