The Operations Manager will oversee all daily foodservice operations for our Cantina Laredo located inside the Dallas Love Field Airport or the DFW Airport location. This position is responsible for the financial results of the store as well as the daily operations, staff development, brand protection, lease compliance and overall executing the company policies and procedures.

General Manager

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
β€’ Improving and maintaining systems and procedures for ordering, receiving, storing, preparing and serving of food and related products while following all franchise and lease requirements.
β€’ Ensure all employees are following company policies and procedures each shift
β€’ Make sound decisions daily that improve the business while upholding all brand standards
β€’ Bring innovative ideas to move the business forward that are within company policies and guidelines
β€’ Build and motivate the hourly staff to reach the goals of the store including treating all managers with respect and with professionalism
β€’ Providing constructive feedback to the staff on company direction and the decisions of the company’s upper management.
β€’ Ensuring effective communications at all levels.
β€’ Increase revenue by ensuring proper staffing is maintained and schedules are done based on the best needs of the business and using Hot Schedules to the fullest of its capability
β€’ Control cost of sales and labor to reach financial goals
β€’ Meeting all brand speed of service goals and measuring them each shift
β€’ Follow all Cash Policies and ensure you are completing all required cash audits and cash procedures each shift
β€’ Use the POS reporting system to monitor sales, fraud and labor by checking it each shift on both your phone and from a desk top or lap top computer
β€’ Build relationships with the airport employees and concessions staff to increase catering business and solicit ideas and recommendations to improve the operations
β€’ Build relationships with the franchisor to ensure we are following all brand standards and solicit constant feedback to improve the business
β€’ Work with the franchisor to ensure all training is being followed to the brand standards
β€’ Communicate daily and weekly with all managers using the Digital Log Book and company email
β€’ Communicate regularly with corporate office and respond timely to request if applicable
β€’ Maintain high food quality and sanitation for all food produced
β€’ Inspect stores daily for standards required including safety and sanitation requirements
β€’ Attend all P&L meetings for managers to review financial results for the business and make action plans to improve performance
β€’ Hold all team members accountable to following all standards and policies
β€’ Effectively managing team member retention.
β€’ Providing daily on-the-job coaching and feedback.
β€’ Creating an environment with high expectations for team members (as observed through shift evaluations.)
β€’ Identifying performance problems and developing and implementing a plan of action to correct the problems.

PAPERWORK DUTIES
β€’ Properly fill in all required safety, sanitation, line check and prohibited item logs and inspections
β€’ Follow all requirements for cash handling and all policies for cash handling each shift
β€’ Check email and Hot Schedules Digital Log daily and respond to requests
β€’ Ensure invoices and daily sales reports are sent in to the corporate office as required by accounting schedule
β€’ Review all reports sent weekly by corporate office staff and respond to issues sited – including thoroughly checking your payroll and looking at all your time cards each week
β€’ Write and execute staff evaluations assigned to you for your stores during eval month
β€’ Ensure all orders are placed for the store on the vendor schedule as required

PERSONAL APPEARANCE

The Operations Manager position requires a professional and crisp image. This includes no visible tattoos, natural hair colors, no visible piercings of any kind, professional hair styles which are not distracting to the guest experience. Make-up must be light and professional. Males are required to be clean shaven each day. Full beards are not allowed and all other facial hair must be kept trimmed at no longer than ΒΌ inch in length. No acrylic fingernails are allowed. Only clear polish is allowed on natural nails if any. Uniforms must be clean and pressed prior to each shift. Males and females with hair shoulder length must be kept tightly and smoothly pulled pack in a bun or pony tail.

PHYSICAL AND HOUR REQUIREMENTS

The Operations Manager is required to lift up to 30-50 pounds

This position requires a minimum of 45-50 hours per week with the expectation that more hours may be required to reach all goals, responsibilities, and to meet the needs of the business

This position requires a 100% attendance expectation with the exception of approved time off requests

Ability to be productive all hours of the shift and work in a fast paced sometimes stressful environment

Ability to stand in one place for several hours

Ability to walk, stand, reach above the shoulders and bend all hours of the shift

Ability to ambulate through the entire square footage of store and/or Airport Assigned
