• *Qualifications:
• Qualified Red Seal TIG Welder.
• Grade 12 or relevant NQF level 4 qualification.
• 3 - 5 years post-qualifying experience in a production environment/maintenance environment.
• Experienced in welding of stainless steel, mild steel and alloy steel will be advantageous but not essential.
• HACCP and GMP knowledge will be advantageous.
• Experience within food industry is not essential but will be advantageous.
• Experience working with boilers, ovens and packing machines will be advantageous
• Proficiency in English and any other official language both written and verbal.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.

• *Responsibilities:**
• Conducting and coordinating all the required maintenance welding.
• Building an inventory of spares for the machines and controlling spares usage and costs.
• Properly maintaining maintenance records as per requirement.
• Identification and achievement of measurable technical and process developments and improvements.
• Attending to breakdowns.
• Ordering of necessary equipment and tools for the factory when necessary.
• Attending relevant meetings i.e.

Production

Meetings, etc where necessary.
• Assist production in achieving optimum efficiencies.
• Ensuring the accurate completion of production logs and job cards.
• Advising on and implementing technical and cost-effective improvements where appropriate.
• Ensuring a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures.
• Be available for callouts after hours.
• Ensuring that the maintenance work is performed in terms of agreed expectations, timelines, and company standards.
• An ability to interact with employees at different levels.
• Collaborator with strong focus on integrity, honesty and willingness to assist at different sites within Port Elizabeth as per company requirements.
• Able to perform duties in line with maintenance program and continuous improvements.
• Identify and solve problems effectively.
