Security Officer

A security officer must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation.

The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping facilities safe and problem-free.

The vacant position will require the incumbent to work closely with our VIP Client; thus, the ideal candidate should be neat, presentable, have excellent communication skills and a high level of professionalism as well as the ability to work well with people.

Responsibilities
β€’ Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
β€’ Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
β€’ Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
β€’ Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations
β€’ Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
β€’ Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
β€’ Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
β€’ Provide assistance to people in need
β€’ Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
β€’ Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
β€’ Adhoc duties when required

Minimum Requirements
β€’ Psira Grade A – registered and up to date
β€’ Grade 12
β€’ Medical Level 1-3
β€’ Firefighting course
β€’ Driver’s License Code 8
β€’ Firearm Competency – Handgun
β€’ Business purposes – Handgun
β€’ Excellent Communication skills (Verbal & Written)
β€’ Good physical condition
β€’ Neat and well-groomed
β€’ No criminal record
β€’ Previous experience working in VIP Security / VIP client advantageous
β€’ Experience working at a Residential Site advantageous
