Job Description
Hire Resolve’s client in the Packaging Industry is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Electrician to join their team in the Western Cape.

Responsibilities:
β€’ Install, maintain, and repair electrical components, systems, and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
β€’ Diagnose electrical problems using various testing devices and provide appropriate solutions.
β€’ Handle wiring, conduit, and cabling for new installations and renovations.
β€’ Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
β€’ Collaborate with project managers and clients to determine project scope, timeline, and requirements.
β€’ Conduct routine inspections to identify potential electrical hazards and make appropriate recommendations.
β€’ Respond to emergency calls and provide prompt and effective solutions.
β€’ Maintain comprehensive documentation of work performed, including materials used, hours worked, and completed tasks.
β€’ Install and maintain lighting systems, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical equipment.
β€’ Assist in the selection and procurement of materials and supplies needed for electrical projects.
β€’ Coordinate with other tradespeople, such as plumbers or carpenters, to ensure electrical work is integrated seamlessly. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies.

Requirements:
β€’ High school diploma or equivalent.
β€’ Completion of an apprenticeship program or relevant technical training.
β€’ Valid electrical license or certification.
β€’ Proven experience working as an electrician, preferably in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
β€’ Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.
β€’ Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
β€’ Ability to use electrical and hand tools, as well as testing devices safely and effectively.
β€’ Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety guidelines.
β€’ Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
β€’ Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
β€’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
β€’ Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
β€’ Preferred Qualifications:
β€’ Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
β€’ Previous experience in project management or leadership roles.
β€’ Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient electrical systems.
