Job Title: Electrician / Millwright Start Date: 2026-07-27 - 2026-08-26 Vacancy Type: Permanent PE006604 Sectors: Manufacturing Location: Eastern Cape , Gqeberha / Port Elizabeth Salary: Brief: electrician|maintenance planning|mechanical|millwright Our client is looking for an Electrician or Millwright to perform electrical engineering inspections, repairs, and maintenance on equipment, assets, and infrastructure to minimise breakdowns and ensure efficient production operations. Skills electrician maintenance planning mechanical millwright Detail: Key Responsibilities Repairs Diagnose root causes of equipment failures and carry out repairs efficiently. Minimise equipment downtime and prevent further damage through prompt fault rectification. Ensure optimal equipment performance by applying relevant technical and engineering standards. Complete and close all maintenance job cards upon completion of work. Support Production by proactively identifying potential issues and resolving process-related problems. Provide reports to the Maintenance Supervisor on repairs, production support, and downtime. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. Maintenance Conduct first-off inspections and daily equipment checks on process changes. Perform predictive, preventative, and planned maintenance inspections. Diagnose equipment issues and carry out required maintenance work. Coordinate maintenance schedules with Supervisors and Production teams. Ensure availability of parts required for maintenance activities. Report unusual equipment conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor. Training Assist with the training and development of Apprentices. Prepare training equipment and machines for practical learning. Support corrective maintenance training initiatives. Compliance Operate according to company controls, procedures, and safety standards. Identify and report risks or areas of concern to management. Promote compliance with all applicable regulations and operational procedures. Support the prevention of wasteful and irregular expenditure. Cost Control Support the effective and responsible use of company resources. Monitor expenditure and assist in reducing unnecessary costs. Report budget deviations to management where required. Customer Service Maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers. Deliver high-quality service and support. Identify and resolve problems professionally and with integrity. Minimise rework, discrepancies, and service-related issues. Job Specifications Qualifications Minimum Requirements Grade 12 Certificate (NQF 4) Trade Test: Electrician or Millwright (NQF 5) Experience Minimum Requirements Up to 3 years' technical and electrical maintenance experience as an Electrician in a manufacturing environment.
