Commercial Cleaning Team Leader

Our client, a premier provider of commercial cleaning services, is seeking a diligent and experienced Commercial Cleaning Team Leader to manage and execute cleaning operations for various business premises in the Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, ZA region. This fully remote role requires a hands-on leader who can ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for leading a team of cleaning operatives, delegating tasks, conducting quality checks, and ensuring efficient service delivery according to established protocols and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise a team of cleaning operatives to deliver high-quality cleaning services. Delegate tasks effectively and ensure completion of daily cleaning schedules. Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to cleaning standards and client specifications. Train new cleaning staff on procedures, safety protocols, and the use of equipment and supplies. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as needed. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Address and resolve any cleaning-related issues or client concerns promptly and professionally. Maintain records of work completed, supplies used, and staff performance. Promote a culture of teamwork, efficiency, and excellent customer service. Communicate effectively with clients and management regarding service delivery.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial cleaning, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead capacity. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, materials, equipment, and sanitation practices. Understanding of health and safety regulations in a cleaning environment. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Basic computer skills for reporting and inventory management. Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties when necessary.
