Our client, a leading facilities management provider, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Industrial Cleaner and Hygiene Specialist to join their dedicated team in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, ZA . This role is essential for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety across various industrial and commercial environments. The Senior Specialist will be responsible for executing complex cleaning tasks, developing and implementing hygiene protocols, training junior staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Responsibilities:
Perform advanced industrial cleaning tasks in diverse settings, including factories, warehouses, and commercial buildings. Operate and maintain specialized cleaning equipment, such as industrial vacuums, pressure washers, and floor scrubbers. Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive cleaning and hygiene programs. Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies. Train and supervise junior cleaning staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and the use of equipment. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify cleaning needs and potential hazards. Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA standards). Experience in developing and implementing hygiene protocols. Ability to operate and maintain a wide range of industrial cleaning machinery. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness. Strong organizational and time management skills. Effective communication and training abilities. Physical stamina and the ability to perform demanding tasks.
