We are looking for a Driver – Distribution based at our Head Office in Denver.

About the role
Reporting to the Dispatch Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for sales deliveries, receipt of payments and checking of goods.
Duties & Responsibilities

Daily Deliveries:
β€’ Make daily deliveries to customers and suppliers.
β€’ Ensure the accurate and damage-free delivery of stock to designated locations.
β€’ Obtain signatures from customers as proof of delivery.

Vehicle Maintenance:
β€’ Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
β€’ Report any maintenance issues promptly and ensure they are addressed.
β€’ Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained at all times.

Compliance with Regulations:
β€’ Adhere to all transport regulations and road safety guidelines.
β€’ Maintain a valid driver's license and comply with company policies and procedures.
β€’ Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations regarding the transportation of goods.

Personal Presentation and Safety:
β€’ Maintain a neat and presentable appearance while on duty.
β€’ Wear the provided personal protective clothing at all times.
β€’ Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

Loading and Offloading:
β€’ Load and offload the vehicle with stock in a safe and efficient manner.
β€’ Ensure that goods are secured properly during transportation to prevent damage.

Assistance with Warehouse Functions:
β€’ Assist with shop or warehouse functions when not engaged in delivery duties.
β€’ Collaborate with other team members to fulfil operational requirements.

Desired Experience & Qualification

About you:
β€’ National Senior Certificate / Matric / Grade 12 Certificate (Completed)
β€’ Minimum 2 – 5 years’ experience in a similar position
β€’ Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. (Code 10 with PDP)
β€’ Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a retail environment.
β€’ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
β€’ Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
β€’ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
β€’ Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
β€’ Willingness to work flexible hours as required.
β€’ Willingness to learn
