Job Description
RPO Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Electrical Foreman to join our client’s team in Durban, KZN.This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to oversee electrical maintenance, ensure operational efficiency, and lead a team of technicians in a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the electrical maintenance team.
• Conduct inspections and maintenance on all electrical equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems, including motors, switchgear, control panels, and instrumentation.
• Plan and execute preventative maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical work, inspections, and incidents.
• Liaise with engineering and production departments to address and resolve issues promptly.
• Train and mentor junior staff within the electrical team.

Requirements:
• Trade-tested Electrician (Red Seal) – essential.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment, preferably within a mill or plant setting.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, PLCs, motor control, and high-voltage equipment.
• Proven leadership, planning, and communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of safety regulations and electrical codes.
• Ability to work well under pressure and solve technical problems efficiently.
• A team player with high attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
