Duties & Responsibilities

Job Description
β€’ Repair and maintenance of electrical, electronic, mechanical and production equipment
β€’ Installation of control panels and electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
β€’ Maintaining machines as per service schedules defined in the CMMS and OEM Manuals
β€’ Troubleshooting control circuit faults on production equipment
β€’ Analysing equipment breakdowns and recording RCA info, on job cards
β€’ Modifications (approved) of plant equipment to keep production lines running at an optimum
β€’ Rebuild and refurbish machines as and when required
β€’ Maintain safety and electrical / electronic specifications of equipment by conducting routine safety checks
β€’ Quality workmanship on breakdowns and planned work to prevent repeat failures
β€’ Prioritize breakdown work in line with business demands

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications
β€’ Matric, N3 certificate or equivalent plus a valid Millwright Trade Qualification
β€’ Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industry as a qualified Millwright

Skills
β€’ Knowledge of injection moulding machines (Engel, Netstal, Arburg) or similar technologies
β€’ Knowledge of compression moulding machines (SACMI technology or similar)
β€’ Practical experience in fault finding, industrial electronics, variable speed drives, servo motors, PLC controls, pneumatics & Advanced hydraulics systems, interpret and read electrical and hydraulic schematic diagrams.
β€’ Mechanical fitting skills
