Commercial Cleaning Technician

This position is integral to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial properties in Johannesburg, Gauteng, ZA . As a Cleaning Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of cleaning duties, ensuring all areas are maintained to exceptional standards. The role requires physical stamina, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. This role is client-facing and requires professional conduct at all times.

Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks in commercial environments, including offices, retail spaces, and public areas. Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to established protocols. Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors using appropriate cleaning equipment and solutions. Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces. Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors. Restock supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels in restrooms and kitchenettes. Operate and maintain cleaning machinery and equipment, ensuring they are kept in good working order. Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and company policies. Report any maintenance issues, damages, or security concerns to the supervisor promptly. Follow specific cleaning schedules and procedures for different client sites. Work effectively both independently and as part of a cleaning team. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with clients or building occupants. Qualifications:
Previous experience in commercial cleaning is highly preferred. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment. Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to thoroughness. Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including bending, stooping, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Good understanding of health and safety procedures. Reliability and punctuality are essential. Good communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, potentially including evenings and weekends, based on client needs. Must be able to work in and around the Johannesburg, Gauteng, ZA area. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new cleaning techniques.
