Mission Description
Job Purpose - (Shosholoza Rail Operations)
β€’ Safely operate vehicles to transport passengers, goods, or materials to specified locations on time, following traffic laws and company policies
β€’ Plan and follow the most efficient routes using navigation systems, considering road and traffic conditions
β€’ Load and unload goods or assist passengers with luggage, ensuring safe handling and secure storage
β€’ Perform regular vehicle inspections, maintenance, and cleaning, reporting any issues promptly
β€’ Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance
β€’ Provide professional and courteous service to the company and clients, ensuring a positive experience and keeping the company's best interests in mind
β€’ Adhere to safety protocols, emergency procedures, and company guidelines
β€’ Collaborate with logistics or transportation teams to optimize schedules and routes
β€’ Reporting incidents to the supervisor/manager.
β€’ Any other task requested by direct supervisor/manger be completed.

Profile
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
β€’ Good command of the English language
β€’ Valid driver's license with PRDP and a clean driving record with no major traffic violations
β€’ Physical stamina and ability to load objects when required
β€’ Knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and navigation tools
β€’ Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
β€’ Punctual, reliable, and able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
β€’ Above 35 years of age with at least 8 years' experience in professional driving
