Job Description
Our client, a prominent vocational training institute, is seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Welder Apprenticeship Program Coordinator. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management and successful delivery of their advanced welding apprenticeship program. You will be instrumental in curriculum development, apprentice recruitment and placement, instructor management, and ensuring the program meets industry standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding trades, combined with excellent organizational and people management skills. This is a field-based role requiring a significant presence at training facilities and worksites.
Key responsibilities include liaising with industry partners to identify skill gaps and tailor program content, overseeing the recruitment and onboarding process for new apprentices, and managing the scheduling of both theoretical instruction and practical on-the-job training. You will conduct regular site visits to assess apprentice progress and provide mentorship, as well as maintain accurate records and generate performance reports. Collaborating with instructors to ensure high-quality delivery of training modules and fostering a safe and productive learning environment are paramount. You will also play a key role in the evaluation and continuous improvement of the apprenticeship program.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the welding trade, preferably with supervisory or training experience, is required. Relevant trade certifications (e.g., Red Seal Welder) are essential.
